About Me:

          My name is Shahir Ahmed, and I am currently a senior at Liberty High School. From a young age I had an interest in sports, and my desire to pursue sports medicine derives from my love for the game of basketball. Outside of academics, I am also involved in a variety of clubs including National Honor Society (NHS), Health Occupant Students of America (HOSA), as well as Muslim Student Association (MSA), which I am president of this year. As for my character, I am a hard worker, and value myself as an approachable and kind person. I am very passionate about the things I love and take part in, and I'm always down for a pick up game of basketball.

About ISM: 

          Independent Study and Mentorship is a program in Frisco ISD that allows juniors and seniors to learn about specific fields of study. After gathering a list of contacts, students call these professionals to schedule potential research interviews and finalize a mentor. Once they choose their mentor, they study and learn under them as they prepare numerous research assessments, showcase their research, and as a whole explore their fields.
